HOWDY

At Pot Mom Studio, my aesthetic is a blend of rustic charm and whimsical design, reflecting both my artistic vision and my inner child. Each piece I create is infused with joy, revealing clever surprises in unexpected places.

Welcome to Pot Mom Studio! My name is Rachael, a Utah native now calling Northern California home. As a devoted nature lover and dance music aficionado in my “Mom era,” I find endless inspiration in the beautiful landscapes around me. Growing up amidst nature’s wonders, my art is deeply influenced by the organic shapes, vibrant colors, and playful movements found in the world around us.

My studio is my muddy sanctuary—a place where the combination of clay, minerals, and centrifugal force ignites my creativity, even when I step away from the wheel. I embrace traditional craftsmanship, finding it both humbling and profoundly satisfying. The finished products serve as vessels for your morning rituals or delightful new homes for your beloved plants, bringing a touch of joy and individuality to your life.

Thank you for joining me on this creative journey!

All my work is fired to cone 5/6, so it is vitrified and dishwasher safe. I use lead free/food safe/dinnerware safe clay bodies and glaze always.

A Note on Sustainability: In my commitment to creating the smallest carbon footprint possible, I recycle and reuse all my clay materials. I repurpose water used for throwing and cleaning tools for up to a week, and I nourish my plants with this water when it’s time for a refresh. Additionally, I package my ceramics thoughtfully to ensure they arrive safe and sound at their new home—most often in a box that has had a previous life.

Cheers!

xoxo
